Overview
Two-factor authentication (2FA) elevates your accounts's security by requiring an additional login step before granting access to some network resources available through the Central Authentication Service (login.umk.pl).
Employees accessing services such as USOSweb, APD (Theses Archive) or portal praowniczy from outside the university network will be required to provide an additional factor during login in form of a code either received by SMS or generated by an authenticator app (Microsoft Authenticator or Google Authenticator).
Instructions
Configuring an authenticator app
- Install an authenticator app on your mobile phone
- Google Authenticator
- Microsoft Authenticator
- or another app using TOTP
- Log in to Portal Pracowniczy then go to "weryfikacja dwuetapowa" located in the sidebar.
- Open the two-factor authentication form by clicking on "Zmień konfigurację" then choosing "Aplikacja uwierzytelniająca" from the drop-down list.
- Caution! Changes may take up to 15 minutes to take effect.
- Upon next login to Portal Pracowniczy a notification will conclude the configuration process.
