Using eduroam based on an account from another institutiuon
If you are a visiting scientist or a visiting student at the Nicolaus Copernicus University, then it is quite likely that you may already have an eduroam account at your home institution. If so then you should be able to connect to eduroam at NCU and you may stop reading here.
If your home institution participates in eduroam but you did not set up an account there, then we suggest that you do so now. You might start by looking at the eduroam configuration tool and see if your home institution is listed there or by checking your institution pages for instructions.
Using eduroam with a local NCU account
If your institution does not participate in eduroam or your affiliation to NCU is permanent, then you can set up eduroam access based on your account at NCU. This account will provide you with full access to eduroam but the account will be valid only for the time of your visit, work or study at NCU.
For systems other than Android an eduroam configurator can be downloaded from global eduroam configuration service eduroam CAT. From that page
- Select the appropriate user type
- Download the installer and provide username and password for your (full) account name at NCU. For instance for Erasmus students this would be something like ES-012345@stud.umk.pl
If you are using Android then we suggest that you:
- Download the eduroam CAT app from Google Play
- Select Nicolaus Copernicus University in the app
- Select the appropriate user type
- Provide username and password for your (full) account name at NCU. For instance for Erasmus students this would be something like ES-012345@stud.umk.pl
