Account management

Creating accounts
  1. The accounts of the NCU academic teachers are created at the time of employment.
  2. NCU CN accounts of the other NCU employees and the persons listed in § 6 para. 2 point 3 are conducted at the request of the person concerned, certified by the head of the parent unit or at the request of the superior.
  3. NCU CN doctoral student accounts are maintained on the university-wide account server and are set up independently by the interested parties using the tools provided by UCI.
  4. NCU CN accounts of other students are maintained on the University-wide account server in accordance with the following rules:
    1. the NCU CN account identifier is the student's album number;
    2. NCU CN account is created automatically at the time of admission to the university and activated by the student using the tools provided by UCI;
    3. the rights arising from having an NCU student account expire on April 30 or November 30 of the year in which the student graduated, depending on which date is earlier;
    4. a student who has been removed from the list of students loses the right to the NCU CN account after one month from the date of removal.
  5. The accounts of the NCU retirees and pensioners are maintained on the university-wide account server in accordance with the following rules:
    1. new accounts are set up at the request of the person concerned, confirmed by the Department of Human Resources or the CM Department of Human Resources;
    2. existing accounts of employees retiring are kept under the same identifier as the employee account;
    3. account validity is subject to verification, in accordance with the provisions of point 6 in the section Extending account validity.
  6. NCU CN accounts for NCU guests are maintained on the basis of an application signed by the head of the relevant organizational unit for a limited period specified in the application.
  7. NCU CN accounts of persons undergoing courses, apprenticeships etc. at NCU and who are not covered by the university student support system are established on the basis of an application confirmed by the dean or deputy dean of the home faculty.
  8. Functional accounts of the NCU organizational units are established after receiving an application certified by the head of the unit.
  9. Functional accounts of student and local government organizations and student circles are established after the receipt of an application certified by the rector or dean for the duration of the academic year.

Renewing account validity

  1. NCU CN accounts established for the purpose of teaching (§ 6, item 2, point 3) are automatically extended on the basis of information in the USOS study system.
  2. People who have NCU CN accounts established for a definite period are informed by e-mail about the approaching expiry date of the account.
  3. The validity of NCU CN students accounts not covered by the university study oriented system is extended on the basis of an application confirmed by the dean or deputy dean of the parent faculty.
  4. The validity of NCU CN accounts for NCU guests is extended on the basis of an application signed by the head of the relevant organizational unit.
  5. The validity of functional accounts of student and local government organizations and student circles is extended for another academic year after confirmation by phone or e-mail that the account is still being used.
  6. Accounts of retirees and pensioners who are inactive for 365 days are subject to verification by phone or email contact with the owner.

Blocking accounts

  1. Administrator has the right to temporarily block an account if it is inadequately protected or there is a reasonable suspicion that it is being used by unauthorized persons.
  2. Administrator unlocks the account after ensuring that the account is properly protected and not used by third parties.

Deleting accounts

  1. The NCU CN employees accounts lose their validity upon termination of employment. After a 3 month grace period, invalid accounts are deleted.
  2. NCU CN retirees and pensioners accounts lose their validity, if after confirmation of account inactivity, it was not possible to verify them. After a 3 month grace period, invalid accounts are deleted.
  3. NCU CN accounts of students and doctoral students who completed their studies in the winter semester are removed on April 30. Accounts of students and doctoral students who graduated in the summer semester are deleted on November 30.
  4. NCU CN accounts of other students are deleted after expiration.
  5. NCU CN guest accounts are deleted after expiration.
  6. NCU CN functional accounts are deleted upon an application confirmed by the head of the unit.
  7. NCU CN functional accounts of the students' organizations, councils and groups are deleted after expiration or upon a request certified by the rector or dean.
